½ CYCLE FLUX RESET feature available on the SIMPLICITY control Unitrol now offers a very simple microprocessor welding control for half-cycle welding. This system automatically resets the weld transformer flux. Why is this important?
If you weld with ½ cycle of heat and continue to weld with the
same polarity, the transformer core will start to saturate.
This causes lower heat at the welding electrodes and higher
primary current. With the new available feature on our SIMPLICITY control, we are able to eliminate this problem and keep the secondary current accurate without reversing polarity. The best part is that this option, #9161-15, can be added to any SIMPLICITY control for no additional cost. |
